Most weddings are planned with the help of a wedding planner. This is great but not all people like this idea. Are you one of these people? If you are, you may be feeling a bit of anxiety- wondering how you’re going to get it all done, which is natural. You can do anything they can, don’t forget that. Isn’t that why you decided against one?
Now, indoor weddings are great but there’s a whole other feel that outdoor weddings can offer you. That’s why they’re my personal favorites. Now, planning an outdoor wedding may be a task that’s harder to do than an indoor one without a wedding planner, but that’s okay. All you need to have is a guide- rather a checklist. And where will you find this? It’s right here! Don’t look any further because you’ll be run through everything your dream outdoor wedding needs. Let’s get started, shall we?
What Will The Venue Be?
With any wedding, you need to pick a venue. So, where will it be? You could have one in the gardens of a grand estate, the beach, or even a forest. You can’t just show up with guests, you need to contact the venues and book it for your reception. Make sure to do this ahead of time so you won’t be left without any options.
Do You Have A Theme?
When it comes to any design project, make sure you have a theme in mind. If not, you’ll have a very disjointed look that will not be appealing to any of the guests. Make sure all the décor matches the theme at hand, such as gold and white.
You Need A Tent
A tent is essential if you’re planning an outdoor wedding. You can easily get one from a local retailer, so be sure to google tents for sale sydney. Once you have enough tents, you know you have shelter from the elements. All you have to do now is decorate them.
Be sure to rent the décor- you can beautifully drape curtains alongside the sides of the tents, Of course, then the seats, chairs and lights.
Hardwood flooring needs to be placed on the ground as unevenness may be a safety hazard- especially for the ladies in heels.
What About Nature?
Having an outdoor wedding means you’re at the mercy of mother nature. Although she is kind, she can have her moments. To protect from sudden rain, be sure to not only get a tent that looks good, but one that is the steadiest and concrete.
To avoid heatwaves, be sure to hook up a portable AC or fans. This will help your guests greatly.
But what’s most important is how you will deal with the insects. This is the biggest issue with outdoor weddings, and fortunately for you, can easily be remedied. Make sure to have an exterminator on site days ahead as they will deal with the pests for you.
Wasn’t that easy? You now have a checklist!
